'Like Clockwork' started off as a single chord progression that I just wanted to throw up on Instagram. I came up with a few versions of this chord progression and started recording them, layering each over one another. As soon as I started listening back I felt the urge to take it further and soon I was in the depths of recording parts for what was soon to become 'Like Clockwork'. It was such a joy to write this song as the inspiration just seem to fall into my brain. Describing it I would say it takes the strong melodies of pop and puts them in a lush soundscape of acousitc guitars, vocal harmonies and ambient twinkly pianos but I think this song just needs to be heard. This song feels like a summation of my musical life so far, it's exactly what I want it to be, no compromises, no second guessing, just me.
